I am a Qualified Sports and Remedial Massage Therapist and can compliment medical therapies for a wide variety of ailments. I am also trained in- and can recommend- alternative therapies to suit your individual needs. My ultimate goal is to heal, but also to teach my patients a better approach to their own health. I am specialised in assisting patients post op in knee replacements, hip replacements and I am able to assist with recovery of most surgical procedures helping patients rebuild their strength, mobility and flexibility. About Me: I have been practicing Sports Therapy amongst several other techniques since 2016.
I studied Sports Management at Boston College for 3 years and went on to study Advanced Sports Massage Therapy and Reflexology at an internationally recognised institute called Balancing Touch for a further 3 years. I had been running my practice in South Africa successfully for 5 years until I immigrated in December 2020. I have now brought my expertise and skills with me to the UK.

Being a professional sportswoman myself and representing South Africa internationally in Lawn Bowls several times, I know how important it is to have and maintain peak performance, but also have a good recovery rate.
I have also dealt with many sports professionals doing preventative injury and also assisting athletes recover from injuries. I have assisted patients post op with backs as well as knee and hip replacements and have had fantastic success rates. I have also worked alongside Chiropractors and have a broad knowledge of the skeletal and musculoskeletal systems.

TRIGGER POINT THERAPY
Trigger point myotherapy also known as neuromuscular therapy or sometimes massage therapy consists of alternating levels of concentrated pressure on the areas of muscle spasm. Pressure is applied with the fingers, knuckles, and/or elbow in ten to thirty second intervals to effectively alleviate the muscle spasm.
DEEP TISSUE MASSAGE
Deep tissue massage is a massage technique that's mainly used to treat musculoskeletal issues, such as strains and sports injuries. It involves applying sustained pressure using slow, deepstrokes to target the inner layers of your muscles and connective tissues.
SPORTS MASSAGE THERAPY
Sports massage is a form of massage involving the manipulation of soft tissue to benefit a person engaged in regular physical activity. The application of sports massage, prior to and after exercise, may enhance performance, aid recovery and prevent injury.
MANUAL LYMPH DRAINAGE
Manual lymphatic drainage (MLD) is a way of reducing swelling caused by fluid build up after cancer treatment. There are different types of manual lymphatic drainage (MLD). They include Vodder, Földi, Casley-Smith and Fluoroscopy guided manual lymphatic drainage (FG-MLD).
Sports nutrition is the study and practice of nutrition and diet with regards to improving anyone's athletic performance. Nutrition is an important part of many sports training regimens, being popular in strength sports and endurance sports.
Elastic therapeutic tape, also called kinesiology tape, kinesiologytherapeutic tape, Kinesio tape, k-tape, or KT, is an elastic cotton strip with an acrylic adhesive that is used with the intent of treating pain and disability from athletic injuries and a variety of other physical disorders.
This can be used in conjunction with other alternative therapies. It takes into account the whole person and helps activate each patient’s natural healing processes as well as restoring their physical and emotional well-being.
BASIC SWEDISH MASSAGE
The most common type of massage is Swedish massage therapy. It involves soft, long, kneading strokes, as well as light, rhythmic, tapping strokes, on topmost layers of muscles. This is also combined with movement of the joints. By relieving muscle tension, Swedish therapy can be both relaxing and energizing.
BABY AND PREGNANCY MASSAGE
Prenatal massage is therapeutic bodywork that focuses on the special needs of the mother-to-be as her body goes through the dramatic changes of pregnancy. It enhances the function of muscles and joints, improves circulation and general body tone, and relieves mental and physical fatigue. Infant massage is the process of rubbing an infant's muscles and stroking the infant in a manner specifically designed for them. Although there are professionally trained and certified infant massagetherapists, the obvious first choice to massage the baby is the mother, father, grandparent, or guardian.
